On Wednesday, 28th August 2024, a Stress Management Training session was held, engaging six participants in a comprehensive workshop. The training was facilitated by Cikgu Yaser, a certified instructor from HRDF (Human Resources Development Fund), who is part of the Human Resources Management department.

The session began at 11:00 AM and lasted until 3:00 PM, providing attendees with insights into recognizing stress, understanding its impact on both personal and professional life, and developing strategies to manage it effectively. Cikgu Yaser covered a range of topics, including identifying stress triggers, using relaxation techniques, and fostering a positive mindset.

An interactive aspect of the training involved a stress management game, where participants shared their stress experiences and collaborated on solutions to manage them. The game helped the participants to better understand each other’s stressors and come up with practical coping mechanisms, making the session not only informative but also highly engaging.

As a result of this training, the participants gained a comprehensive set of valuable tools and techniques that would enable them to effectively manage stress in various aspects of their daily lives. These tools, which ranged from practical stress-relief exercises to methods for maintaining a positive mental outlook, were designed not only to help them cope with immediate stressors but also to foster long-term resilience against future challenges. By applying these strategies, participants would be able to significantly improve their mental and emotional well-being, leading to a healthier balance between work and personal life. Additionally, their newfound stress management skills would enhance their productivity at work, as they could approach tasks with a clearer mind, better focus, and a calmer demeanor. Ultimately, this training was aimed at empowering the participants to lead more balanced, productive, and fulfilling lives by minimizing the negative impacts of stress and maximizing their ability to manage it.
